My Story
Mendy K Ferrara, M.A.C., L.P.C. received her bachelors degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin in 1999, and received her masters degree in counseling from St. Edward University in 2002. Mendy has spent the past 18 years working with adolescents, young adults, adults and geriatrics in out-patient, inpatient, and residential settings. Her passion is working with individual clients and/or couples dealing with relationship problems, as well as individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image issues, sexual dysfunction, dynamic shifts within a family and life style adjustments.

The therapeutic approach Mendy most often uses with her clients is Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Mendy believes we are the products of our thoughts and core beliefs. Most of the time, what one thinks and believes often becomes their reality. To help each patient move forward and live a balanced and enjoyable life, core problems will be explored and tools provided to reinforce empowering, positive, future behaviors.

Mendy's latest therapy option is LENS neurofeedback. LENS Neurofeedback therapy, Low Energy Neurofeedback System is a non-invasive treatment designed to help individuals improve their mental health and cognitive ability. It works by using a specialized device to measure brain activity and provide-time feedback, allowing users to learn to regulate their brain. Go to our therapy page about LENS to learn more.
